Job Description

Our agency seeks an experienced, driven, and empathetic full-time psychotherapist with a passion for treating those with mental health disorders to join our practice. The successful candidate must be LCPC, LCSW, or LSCW-C licensed in the State of Maryland. We are looking for someone to provide individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.

Due to the overwhelming number of community referrals we are receiving, we are currently looking to hire full-time salaried clinicians as well as affiliate therapists.

This is an in-office position, though all therapy services are being provided via telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Qualifications Experience:

Counseling, 1 year (Preferred)

Education: Master’s (Required)

License: LCSW, LCSW-C, or LCPC (Required)

The ideal candidate will:

1. Have an active license to practice psychotherapy in the State of Maryland (LCSW, LSCW-C, or LCPC)

2. Be available to work afternoon or occasional evening hours

3. Be comfortable consulting with psychiatrists and addiction medicine physicians regarding their shared cases

4. Ideally have a specialty area of practice (couples, children, eating disorders, substance abuse, etc.) and/or preferred treatment modality (CBT, DBT, MI, psychoanalysis, etc.)

5. Enjoy working in a close, fun community of practitioners!

Benefits:

· Pay: $50,000 to $63,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Summary:

The Resource Group is looking for a highly motivated and hard-working individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking to add someone to our team to oversee the day-to-day client and provider workflow. The position requires extensive interpersonal time with clients and is largely the first person with whom clients will interact upon arrival for any appointment. The Medical Receptionist must be able to effectively communicate with providers and clients to answer any scheduling questions and some balance or insurance questions. This position will interact with Mental Health and Substance Abuse patients regularly to answer questions and resolve problems related to patient accounts. The ideal candidate will be able to use a high degree of problem-solving and attention to detail to ensure patient accounts are accurate and to ensure that accounts are explained accurately to patients. The successful employee will be welcoming, set and uphold good boundaries, and self-motivating.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Medical/Insurance Terminology: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Mental Health Industry Experience: 2 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Answering incoming multi-line phone calls, responding in a timely manner and manage them accordingly.
  • Collecting appropriate copay/coinsurance for services billed
  • Explaining outstanding balances and statements to clients and collecting payment
  • Following up with clients to collect updated account information such as: credit card information, demographics, paperwork, insurance information
  • Working with clients to resolve account issues related to payments and insurance billing
  • Taking detailed messages and checking daily voicemails.
  • Checking in clients for appointments and collecting appropriate copay/coinsurance.
  • Scheduling prescriber follow-up/routine appointments.
  • Sending/calling daily client appointment reminders.
  • Coordinating daily room assignments for providers and staff.
  • Coordinating medical records requests for clients and/or providers.
  • Following opening/closing procedures per policy.
  • Ensure all clinical staff receives correspondences or collateral information from patients, families, or referral sources.
  • Assist with filing, creating sign-in sheets, faxing documentation, and printing.
  • Obtain insurance authorization and insurance coverage.
  • Greet all visitors, patients, and families in a friendly, welcoming manner.
  • Keep front desk and lobby area clean and orderly.
  • Complete additional duties as directed by Office Manager.

Skills Include: 

  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Excellent customer service skills including email composition and phone etiquette
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of medical billing and insurance procedures
  • Familiarity with mental health clinic setting and clientele
  • Exceptional organizational and timeline management skills
