Medication Management can and does help many people on their path to wellness. Medication can be a temporary tool to give your mind time to adjust to traditional talk therapy, or a tool you utilize indefinitely every day to live a happier, healthier life.
We have options for medically treating mental health disorders for those who find that talk therapy alone is not enough. While we always encourage those who find medication helpful to also include traditional therapy on their journey to building a healthy mind, no matter which path you take, we’ll help ensure you have all the right tools to heal.
How do i start?
It’s important to remember that getting help for your mental health can be a long process. You and your doctor are discovering which sort of therapy resonates with you and which medication is right for you. If you’re taking medication, you may need to try several different ones before you find what works best for you and your mind.
Be kind to yourself as you take the time it takes to get there.
What if i don’t think it’s helping?
If there is little or no change to your symptoms after six weeks, your medication provider will work with you to prescribe a new medication or combination of medications. Some people respond better to one medication than another, so it can be a process to figure out what works best for you.
You may not always start off with the exact right rolls, but as you learn what you want to build for yourself, the tools you need for that will become clearer.
