Hello! My name is Lisa, and I’m an LMSW licensed social worker who has been practicing for one year. Prior to getting my master’s degree in social work from The University of Maryland, Baltimore, I worked in the human services field as a case manager for both adults, and children in the Baltimore City educational system. I have a passion for talking to others, and because of that, I love spending time with my friends and family, and meeting new people! When I’m not at work, you can find me spending time outdoors, at the beach, or hanging out with my dog. My goal as a clinician is to foster a safe space for you to express your thoughts, concerns, and fears without judgement. I believe that in order to master regulation of our emotions, we must first come to fully acknowledge and share them. You don’t need to bear the burden of your troubles without help.  Using my professional background, I specialize in work with children, adolescents and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, and life-stressors, with a DBT-informed approach. While I want to provide an opportunity to explore past history and trauma, our work together will be behaviorally focused to achieve life and circumstance-changing results. While incorporating CBT, DBT, and solutions-focused methods, I utilize mindfulness, psychoeducation, art therapy techniques, as well as skills-based training. I want you to be able to leave every session with a sense of progress, accomplishment, and insight into your mental health and behavioral concerns.  My goal is to make our sessions as collaborative and strengths-based as possible, from a perspective of individualization, respect, and gratitude.
