She works with clients ages 17 and up. She has a degree in Mental Health Counseling from McDaniel College. She specializes in treating individuals struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, and depression. Cryssy uses a person-centered approach and believes the therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of the therapy experience.

Paris Bienert, (She/Her) is the Associate Program Director of Resource Connect. She holds a graduate degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, where she studied behavioral health with a clinical-macro specialization. As a clinician, Paris specializes in treating adults with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders, primarily utilizing Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She firmly believes that people are the experts in their own lives, and therefore a person-centered approach is crucial in therapy

Trisha Chason (She/Her) is a psychotherapist and member of the Dialectic Behavior Therapy team who works with clients ages 16 and older. She holds a Master of Education in Counseling from Loyola College and a certificate in Professional Counseling Studies from The University of Baltimore. Trisha is a certified health and wellness coach and yoga instructor. Trisha specializes in treating individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, substance use, relationships, and life transitions. She creates a safe space for clients to navigate life’s challenges. Trisha primarily uses mind and body practices together with cognitive behavioral therapies to meet clients where they are, develop personalized goals and strategies, and problem solve along the way, to help each client in their journey to their best self.

For the first 14 years of her career, she worked as an adolescent substance abuse and mental health counselor, working both in a community agency and out in local middle and high schools on Substance Abuse Program (S.A.P.) teams. She later served as Program Director for an adult inpatient addictions program and worked on an inpatient adolescent psychiatric unit. Katie has been a psychotherapist at the Resource Group for four years.
Katie feels strongly that clients need to understand what’s happening to them – that their mental health and substance abuse issues are not personal failings. She strives to provide clients with a thorough education on whatever issues they are facing, practical strategies they can use, links to helpful community resources, and of course non-judgmental support.
